One of the great articles in the Issue 3 is the tale of the Bekonscot Model Village and Railway, located in the market town of Beaconsfield, less than an hour from central London.

The Bekonscot Model Village and Railway, which first opened in 1929, is the world's oldest and most original model village. Bekonscot is a time warp to 1930s England, where visitors may experience life as it was then and find a fascinating little world hidden away from modern-day life.

Since its opening over 15 million visitors have been captivated by the charm and eccentricity of Roland Callingham’s creation. Thousands of people flocked to Beaconsfield to see the 'real-life Lilliput', which had been featured in newspapers and newsreels all around the world.

Many visitors have expressed an experience similar to the story of ‘A Voyage to Lilliput’ as Gulliver from ‘Gulliver’s Travels’.

Take a stroll around the Bekonscot Model Village’s High Streets and peek into the buildings, watch out for the model railway and locals; there are hundreds of small details to be found, so take a second look!
